Newsagents honoured

Rick Richards from Clayton Newsagency in Victoria received an OAM for Services to the Community in this year’s Queen’s Birthday honours list.

Rick has contributed to the newsagency industry through VANA and Newspower and in the community as Warden and Treasurer of St George Anglican church, and as Mayor of the City of Moe amongst many other community activities.

Robert Asquith from Benalla Newsagency, Victoria also recently received and OAM for services to his community.

Congratulations to both these newsagents who have enhanced their communities and made a difference through their newsagencies and community service.

  1. Great to see one of the good guys getting recognition…………. There are many occasions where negative press is required but too often we forget to acknowledge the positive stories in life. Well done Mr Richards !

  2. We here at POS Solutions congratulate Rick & Robert for having been recognised and greatly honoured by the community whom they served and inspired over many years. I can’t speak highly enough of the core character and digninty of these two wonderful Australians.
