11 titles were audited for the July to September 2014 period, of which women’s weeklies made up 97% of marketshare.
The men’s lifestyle category posted a Year on Year (YoY) Australian Net Paid Print Sales (ANPPS) decline of 27.92%, while women’s weeklies posted a YoY decline of 6.69%. The women’s lifestyle category experienced a growth of 0.2% this quarter, to due to the launch of Yours.
As seen above, while decreases were experienced across the board, they are now being moderated. Zoo Weekly experienced the strongest decline compared to September 2013 (27.9% YoY). New Idea, That’s Life, and OK! were all able to contain decreases to below 5% YoY.
