Man charged over armed robbery of newsagency
An ABC online report:
Lake Macquarie police have charged a man over an armed robbery of a Bonnells Bay newsagency.
A man went into the business on Fishery Point Road, armed with a metal object and threatened the female store owner.
He escaped with cash and fled to a nearby car, which police later spotted at Freeman’s Waterhole.
A 26-year-old man was charged with armed robbery and an outstanding warrant and will face Newcastle local court .
