newsXpress Village, owned by Paul and Marcella Doolan, was among four business which were affected by a fire that destroyed part of Andergrove Central Square in August 2014.
While this devastating loss proved to be a massive hurdle, Paul and Marcella chose not give up—they operated their business out of their shed for four months and kept supplying subagents and delivering newspapers until they were able to move into their new, much larger premises.
Just 10 months since re-opening, they’re now able to boast a Division 1 lotto winner, and the return of many of their regular customers. It’s true what they say, perseverance really does pay off!
